Red light therapy (RLT) is a non-invasive treatment that uses low-wavelength red or near-infrared light to promote healing and reduce inflammation. It works by penetrating the skin and stimulating cellular processes, particularly in mitochondria, the energy-producing structures in cells. This light exposure increases the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which boosts cellular energy and accelerates tissue repair.
